The Void Player Wiki is a collaborative, living knowledge base powered directly by our community and integrated with Guild. All players and GMs are encouraged to document lore, expand faction details, describe locations, and write session reports.

All articles must adhere to the _guidelines.

Signing In & Editor Permissions
  1. Sign In: Click Sign In in the top-right corner of the wiki and authenticate using your Tarragon / Guild account (via email, Discord, or Google).
  2. Request Permissions: To protect campaign lore and maintain formatting integrity, write permissions are managed by the Voidmasters. Ask a Voidmaster on Discord to grant you edit access on the wiki.
  3. Once approved by a Voidmaster, you will see the New Note button in the navigation bar and Edit Note options on existing articles.

How to Contribute

1. Web Editor (Recommended)

The easiest and most direct way to contribute is using the built-in web editor:

  • Creating a New Article: Click New Note in the navigation bar or visit /editor.
  • Editing an Existing Article: Open any article you wish to improve and click Edit Note at the top right of the page.
  • Selecting Article Type: Choose whether your note represents a Location, NPC, Organization, Event, Species, or Meta article. The editor configures the appropriate tags and directory structure automatically.
  • Linking Worlds: Select which campaign world(s) the subject belongs to (e.g. Sythian, Verninthal, Zenith, Asnyri, Hilonor, Kalogeron, The Void).
  • Smart In-Text Link Suggestions: As you type in the article content, session abstract, or session notes, the editor automatically suggests matching articles using fuzzy title lookup. Press Tab or click a suggestion to instantly convert your text into an internal link ([[Article]] or [[Article|Alias]]). You can also type [[ at any point to search and auto-complete article links. Press Escape or click outside to dismiss suggestions.
  • Live Markdown Preview: Use the preview toggle to verify headers, callouts, and internal links before publishing.

2. Session Reports & Character Dossiers

You do not need to create session reports or player character dossiers from scratch:

  • Session Reports: Every session scheduled and hosted through Guild automatically syncs into the wiki. Once a session has concluded, find it on the Session Reports page (/sessions) and click Write Report to document your party's deeds and mission debrief.
  • Character Dossiers: New characters registered on Guild appear on the Character Roster (/characters). You can click Create Dossier next to your character to flesh out their backstory, appearance, and exploits.

3. Offloading via Discord

If you have lore, session notes, or ideas you'd like added to the wiki but prefer not to write or format them yourself:

  • Send your draft (preferably as Markdown or plain text) to a Voidmaster or post it in the relevant session thread on the Tarragon Discord.
  • A Voidmaster or fellow contributor will review, format, tag, and publish the article on your behalf.

Writing Guidelines & Conventions

  • Internal Links: Use standard wiki links to connect articles: [[Article Name]] or [[Article Name|Custom Display Text]].
  • Atomic Notes: Focus each note on a single subject, location, faction, or person.
  • Tone: Maintain an in-universe or encyclopedic tone for lore articles.
  • Formatting: Use standard Markdown formatting. Do not use emojis in titles, headers, or body text.
