Guild of the Void ranks

Welcome to the Guild of the Void! We’re glad to have you adventuring with us.

Apprentice

You start here. Anybody that has signed up to the guild, has received their void certification token and is out adventuring for us is at least an apprentice. You have full access to all the facilities of The Void; and it’s Guild.

Journeyman

Once you’ve achieved level 7, your character is eligible for their Journeyman Rank Quest. One of the Voidmasters will be appointed to run the quest, so if you don’t know who yet, ask us! Once you’ve completed your quest, you acquire the Journeyman Rank within the Guild of the Void, and are entitled to the following benefits:

Journeyman Benefits

  • When posting a quest to the quest board for completion of another party, or directly recruiting a party from the Guild of the Void (quest up to your level - 4) 1/5th of the cost is sponsored by the Guild.
  • You gain your own private residence in The Lots, instead of the shared rooms of the Nap District.

Example: Journeyman Bramble (level 10) needs the undead cleared around their inn, in Sythian. They ask Jasper1, what level quest this would be. He answers it would be level 42 and gives Bramble some more details about the quest he might’ve forgotten. Bramble decides clearing the undead is worth 5,000 SP + whatever loot is found. He makes an image to post on the questboard3, which is picked up by a party. The other party plans the session, they ask Bramble for some more details, perhaps discuss the price or other favours, etc. And complete the mission. Once completed, Bramble pays the adventurers the 5,000 SP agreed upon, and the Guild of the Void pays Bramble back 1,000 SP4

Guildmaster

Once you’ve achieved level 14, and obtained your Journeyman Rank, your character is eligible for their Guildmaster Rank Quest. Completing this quest will earn you the Guildmaster Rank within the Guild of the void, and are entitled to the following benefits:

Guildmaster Benefits

  • You become Guildmaster of a region.
    • 1/5th of the gains of all quests (up to your level - 4) completed in this area are paid to you by the Guild.
    • You are responsible for the quests and missions in this region.
    • You can suggest quests to the Void Council, which may then be paid in full by The Void.
  • You gain a residence in a Void Outpost of your choice in the region you are responsible for.

Footnotes

  1. Sythian’s Voidmaster, where Bramble’s inn is.

  2. 10 (Bramble’s level) - 4 = 6 (max quest level Bramble will get recompensated for). 4 < 6 so this is allowed.

  3. Bramble could’ve also just recruited the adventurers without the questboard, but there must be a clear agreement about the quest objective and reward. It’s not enough to just remind an apprentice party about a plotline.

  4. 1/5th of the reward, this doesn’t take into account any loot or rewards the party encountered. But if bramble gave the party a Crown of the Fire Eater instead of 5,000 SP, he would also get 1,000 SP.
