The Learn a Spell downtime activity can be taken in the void by any class that has a repertoire of spells, such as a spellbook for wizards. Any common spell can be chosen, uncommon or rare spell scrolls must be found or otherwise obtained.
To learn the spell you must use the corresponding skill of the tradition of the repertoire you are adding the spell to. For example, if you were a cleric with the bard multiclass archetype, you couldn’t use Religion to add an occult spell to your bardic spell repertoire.
You must pay the materials for the spell listed in the table below and attempt the skill check.
Critical Success You expend half the materials and learn the spell.

Failure You fail to learn the spell but can try again after you gain a level. The materials aren’t expended.
