There have been some goblins in the Iron wood, ambushing the road between Thetford and Little Hould

The party took the "Goblins About" mission and travelled to Little Hould to look into goblin ambushes in the Iron Wood and rumours of a witch. They wiped out a goblin ambush, captured its leader, and found an iron/copper vein and a goblin village of about 15 armed goblins. The captured goblin said the goblins serve a powerful witch who treats them kindly. The party then convinced him he was the lost father of a goblin working at the Little Hould inn and reunited the two before returning to The Void.
Session Report: Goblins About
Setting Out
Bing Bonk, Tom, Solstice and Marcus Pumpkin met up at the inn in The Void and picked up the "Goblins About" mission in Sythian. After stocking up on supplies, they stepped through the portal.
They arrived in Little Hould. The mission stated that there had been goblin ambushes in the Iron Wood, which lies along the road between Little Hould and Thetford. There had also been talk of a witch roaming the woods.
Little Hould
The party asked a local guard who might know more about the ambushes. He mentioned a goblin working at a nearby inn. At the inn they found a very enthusiastic goblin, who told them his village had burned down. While fleeing, he lost his dad, whom he never really knew and who had apparently told him to run.
Into the Iron Wood
The party set off down the road. After a day of walking they reached the edge of the woods and made camp for an uneventful night.
With fresh energy they entered the woods. After a while, Bing Bonk spotted a party of goblins hiding in the bushes. The party snuck up and surprised them. Solstice opened with ice magic, slowing the goblins down, and then Bing Bonk tore through the ambush, one-shotting almost every goblin and knocking the leader unconscious with a single blow to the temple.
They captured the unconscious leader and kept following the path through the forest. To the southwest they found an iron/copper vein, and to the northeast they could see the hubbub of a goblin village. After scouting, they returned to the previous night's camp.
The Interrogation
The party questioned the captured goblin about the village and the witch. He said:
- The goblins help the witch because she is very kind to them.
- There are about three full hands (~15) of armed goblins in the village.
- The witch is very powerful.
A Family Reunion
The party then convinced the captured goblin that he was the lost father of the goblin working at the inn in Little Hould. They brought him back to Little Hould for a very sweet reunion with his "son," and he got a job at the inn.
The party returned safely to The Void.
